On 6 April, the long-planned BJLC team event finally took place! All the team members were looking forward to this day as it is not often that we all get to meet up and chat face to face.
Today's team activity took us to @VanillaZulu to learn about Rustic Italian cooking.
Before we started the meal, we had our entrée - cheese platter, prosciutto, rocket pear salad with infused olive oil and balsamic vinegar , and focaccia with truffle butter prepared by our chef Luciana.
The fresh made focaccia with truffle butter was delicious, we couldn't wait to learn to make it!
Our main courses are gnocchi and sweet potato ravioli. Luciana showed us step by step how to knead the dough, roll it out and finish the gnocchi and ravioli.
We found out that kneading the dough and making some mess is quite relaxing. 😁
A sprinkling of chocolate, pistachios and roses gave the panna cotta the finishing touch.
We must say that homemade pasta is not only healthier but also tastier. The day was rounded off with the team event where we all enjoyed our own Italian food.
We had a great time laughing and getting to know each other. And we all look forward to our next gathering soon!
